The Risk of Faith – by Dr. Ninan
can you take the risk to trust in something other than our addictions?
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
Are you living with secrets?
Looking for a change but scared?
Kids acting out or addicted? This doesn’t mean that you are a bad parent but it does mean that you need support! Come be with others going through the same things.
We are the safe and interested only in your recovery. NO JUDGEMENT JUST SUPPORT
RECOVERY – RELATIONSHIPS – RENEWAL
Testimonies – “In that tiny “church” (NSC) housed in the multi-purpose room in the
back of the basement I found what I’d been looking for my entire life. I found peace.
I found unconditional love. I found people who genuinely cared about me and wanted to
be there for me, expecting nothing in return. I found people who truly understood
pain and silent suffering. I found emotional safety and the freedom to be honest,
vulnerable, and yes, imperfect. I’d grown up ‘in the church’, but only in the last
year have I come to know what fellowship and family in the body of Christ really mean.”
Addiction is a No Fault Disease – But Our Recovery is Our Responsibility
WE ALL HAVE HURTS, HABITS AND HANGUPS that have contributed to our life problems.
We’ve traveled broken roads with nowhere left to turn. We have discovered hope, help, and healing as we grow spiritually.
INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS ARE WELCOMED AND SUPPORTED
Many people, just like you and me, (or a family member) struggle with drugs, relationship issues, or damaging behaviors in our lives.
We are here to support any and all people (perhaps even you ) who have
decided that they are sick and tired of being sick and tired.
The meetings/service begin with music, food, and fellowship, and a message, followed by support groups.
Everyone is welcome to attend – we all have hurts, habits, and hang ups.
NorthStar Community now meets in two locations in Virginia, Bon Air and Walnut
Join us! We meet in the basement in the Kids Club area. Park in the front parking lot.
